The building was until recently used for a clothing warehouse but is currently being renovated and converted to Residential Care use with an A1 Retail use at ground floor.
In 2006 a full planning consent was given for a change of use from warehouse (Class B8) to ground floor retail (Class A1) and 21 flats above. Two storey extension on roof and side extension to form 4-storey building with associated car parking.
The current proposals aim to similarly convert the building to (Class C2) on the upper floors whilst maintaining the existing approval for ground floor Class A1 commercial retail use.
